UFLPA Compliance
UFLPA (Uyghur forced labor prevention act)
Reporting
The Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act (UFLPA), effective from June 21, 2022, combats forced labor, particularly in Xinjiang. It mandates US companies to scrutinize supply chains, report to Customs, and penalizes non-compliance. Aligning with the International Labor Organization’s definition, the UFLPA targets all US imports, necessitating proof of labor-free sourcing. Importers must certify products are untainted by Xinjiang forced labor, directly or indirectly, under threat of penalties enforced by US Customs and Border Protection (CBP).
At ComplianceXL, we prioritize aligning your supply chain with UFLPA regulations to mitigate forced labor risks. Our dedicated supplier engagement team assists with compliance data collection, due diligence, and reporting. We also offer maintenance services to ensure accuracy and reliability of regulatory documents for our clients.
